A recon pic from the forges of the Otterman. (original mk1 Enforcer for comparison)

With the turret that far back its definitively fixed forward :) Unless of course a bit of modeling goes on for it to move to the centre :)

Not sure I understand what you mean Chris? Do you think it looks unbalanced?
The turret is fully rotatable :)

It would be about the same size as a SG super heavy, but somewhat smaller than the FW ones. The old Enforcer was marginally smaller than an SG Super Heavy but the new one is a bit wider and has a larger turret that makes it look a bit bulkier. Maybe Otterman can post some comparison shots? Otherwise I will once I get a copy of the prototype from him :)

I just recieved the prototypes from O-man.

Here's a comparison shot next to various other tanks. As you can see it is a bit larger than the original Enforcer but still a bit smaller than the FW SHTs. I didn't bother to dig out my SG SHTs but they are fairly close in size.

The turret is fully rotatable :)

All centre of gravity stuff. If you fired at a 90 degree angel from the rear of the tank the weight of it would be less effective in dealing with the recoil (unless of course its a fancy insert tech here railcannon or rocket launcher :) ).

Well if you ever saw an MBT fire ... the whole thing lurches, vibrates and recoils ...  BOOOOOOOoooooooomm !   My cousin back in the '60s was in the Navy. He said, when the main guns on a Warship fired, the whole ship would recoil, list and reverbirate. Even sometimes paint would chip of the walls & ceiling ...   :oh:

Ah ok. Got it now.
I'm not balistics expert and you're probably right that a centered gun would be more effective. That said rear mounted guns aren't exactly uncommon, and although I have no idea how much rotation would be advisable on sloped ground, it does seem that much smaller AFVs such as the Paladin Artillery, are able to fire with their turrets rotated somewhat.

But as mentioned elsewhere rocket propelled ammunition and various types of reciol dampeners really makes it difficult to judge what is, and what isn't realistic.
I think we may have found a way of moving the main gun a bit more forward without causing too many clearance problems with the secondary turrets though.  :p

1. I love the 3 barrel style.  Oh yea!

2. I think the blue looks awesome, and more 'balanced' than the Mk 1!

3. I cannot find the Component Store section on Exodus Wars' site.

4. Most entries in the online store there have no picture...they say "No Image".  Is that just me, God forbid?

Aye TRC's right, if the gun generates any kind of kickback, firing it will spin the tank if the turret isn't on the centre of gravity... so your second shot won't go where the first one went.
