Been speed painting this afternoon. I apologize for the semi-crappy pics, but I figured it was better to have these babies ready for sale ASAP rather than wait for me to come up with some decent looking pictures.

And finally the Mortar. I'll forward a link of this thread to Tom, so I assume the minis will be ready for sale as soon as he's transfered the pics to the EW online store.

Also I'll make sure to snap some proper looking close up shots in the next couple of days. There's a couple of nifty details that doesn't show up very well in these pics.

What colors, please?

I'll whip up a painting guide.

Basically: Black undercoat. Catachan green basecoat with catachan green/camo green highlights drybrushed on.

Paint sand colored camo stripes Desert Yellow  and highlight with a mix of Desert yellow and white (I then add some extra shadows using Devlan Mud Wash - great for picking out details like rivets)

Add the dark camo by adding a few stripes of black. Then cover with Scorched Brown and highlight with a mix of scortched brown and Graveyard Earth. In some areas I then add a bit of black wash for a smoother shading.

Pick out metal bits with Mithril silver. Add black wash to gun barrels. Treads get a coat of thinned down Black/Snakebite Leather for a dirtier look.


Ah DAMMIT! I just realized I'd forgotten to add weathering! :p Splash on a bit of Graveyeard Earth and then a light dusty drybrush of Command Khaki or Bleached Bone.
