Voted no because it's the only way to crush those pesky Cads (holo field are just boring)

indeed, I'm with Napalm here. Them Eldar titans being sucky in CC is a good compensation for having holo-fields  :yay:

No, the fact that they are supposedly fragile is the payment/cost of the holo fields. It's not our fault that the designers made their save so tough in contradiction to the fluff.

Isn't that fragility demonstrated by their weakness in close combat?

Nope, nice try but not how it's explained in any fluff I have read about the Eldar Titans fragility.

Limited Close Combat for Eldar Titans is an argument blown out the water IMO when you look at the specialised units of the Eldar. Long Range is only one Aspect, as demonstrated by the Dark Reapers (for example) so therefore there can be no other Aspect of the Eldar?.. WOT! This would be contrary to their background. Eldar have Specialisations but they have many different Aspects of Specialisation. Therefore it would be well within their BACKGROUND to include a close combat specialised Titan.

We can go around and around until the Tyranids devour the stars but this isn't going anywhere.

Besides, I'm right, so get used to it because (again in my opinion) this is just an attempt to shoe horn games mechanics into the lists, as usual. Quite frankly I don't need to dumb down my games in order to have (balanced) fun. I think my battle reports (which is just a small glimpse into some of the games I have run) speak for themselves as to their awesomeness (I hope you will agree). I will continue in this vane unmolested by such stringent rules lawyering and humbug! Gahh!  :p

What about a "Emperor-Class" Eldar Titan which is a special Titan-Hunter
with jump jets , claws ect.

Yeah, you could use the plastic 40K Dreadlord as a basis for the design.  It has hands and some f*&k off big swords doesn't it?

Ahhh, ooooh, eeee, helps! It burns!

It's like getting slightly nibbled by a hamster or Emo Twilight Fans, wont any of my supporters help me in my darkest hour, please help! Ahhh! oooh! eeee!

Hey! I know, we need an Emperor Titan with even more weapons and a shiit load of Missiles but that still keeps the same strengths, we should call it Warmonger!.. oh, wait...

Or, how about an Emperor Titan that fell to Chaos and has only a few minor weapons changes but one BIG close combat addition and keeps all the same strengths but gains Greater Daemon Engine status AND it's a Khorne Daemon Engine so even cooler if winning, we should call it... Blatant attempt to sell more Imperators... Oh, wait...

Hey, I got it! It's perfect. How about we suck all the fun out the lists and make everything a pain in the ass to select when making an army with lots of Cant's and limitations to ensure you will always pick/face the same basic dumbass boaring dull yawn-a-thon army every time you play. Excellent! It's a NetEpic Winner... or is the Whiner? (Me)

Hey, how about an Ork list that reflects their stupidity and war like tendencies... Nah, your right, that would just be too 40K. Remind me, what came first, 40K or Epic?.. hmm. I get all confused.

Oh, and...

this is GREAT!
