Hello all!
As you might now I have a chaos fleet (and I am facing one tomorrow morning, heh) BUT they are not chaotic. They simply use old shiop designs but are a neutral force in the 40k universe (the palman sector). So far I have never taken any marks of chaos in my fleet for that reason, but it occured to me while studying Political explanation that the kind of advantages the marks give you could easily be simulated with less chaotic designs. So there we go. I designed non chaotic marks for the chaos fleet so they can be used by non chaos forces that use the chaos rules. Comments appreciated
Cheers,
Xavi

A) MARK OF KHORNE --> Assault units. The ship contains an assault detachment of the 3rd Army (the Palman troops) in it. Those are highly trained assault units and fight with an ability that arely is found among the crews of other vessels. In some cases those units have even been trained by the mariones of the Shadow Griffons Chapter and are among the elite units of the Palman Empire. Deadly units in assaults, the ships carrying those units are deadly opponents in boarding actions.
B) MARK OF SLAANESH --> Communication disrupters The ship produces a strong jam signal that interferes with enemy communications and hamers though the Machine Spirit of the enemy ships. The signal is emitted (english word?) using a powerful anthena in the ship. The Palman ships already carry anti-jam systems to prevent their own computers and communications going mad when reciving that signal but usually the enemy vessels are not that lucky.
C) MARK OF TZEENCH --> Rising Star The ship captain or admiral is a rising star in the Palman Navy, a tactician of unparelled skills and ability, able to lead the ships under his/her command with ease and strong hand.
D) MARK OF NURGLE --> Reinforced Hull and Structure (This is the mark I am less comfortable with) This ship's hull has been strongly reinforced with extra armour plates and few opening have been left for the enemy to have easy access into the structure. It can sustain more damage than other ships of her class and an enemy would have a hard time breaking through the reinforced ceramite and steel that covers the ship.

Nice- I like them- easily explained by your fluff, so they would work fine as a non-chaotic fleet imo, I think the reinforced hull idea is fine too... what didn't you like about it Xavi?

They all seem fine to me.
What's your problem with the reinforced hull? In the campaign upgrades section in the back of the blue book, Isn't there an upgrade there? Okay it reduces the speed of the ship I think, but that could be due to it being done during a campaign, i.e. rushed. A ship that was crafted with time could be more durable and still retain all the other characteristics. I think its okay.
