Splinter Fleet Churoninx- Tyranids
1.1 already, I know, boo hiss, too soon. Amateur, hehe.

Well, I did the battle report- a close game against Black Legion.

It got tons of feedback in the Battle Reports section...
Admittedly I linked to another forum, as I don't have the time or patience to split my post into a dozen smaller ones due to pic allowances.

Anyway, only a few things stuck out to me and my opponent- in order of importance.

-Fearless Particularly on Carnies/Venomfex/Exocrine/etc.
The Nid list has a lot of Fearless. The Brute Swarms can be all-Fearless formations with the resilience of an IG Tank Company...
I was able to engage without prepping, if I failed, I suffered no downsides, rallied next turn and threw them in again.

To make Nid players prepare engagements carefully for Brute Swarms and to prevent other silly stuff that so much Fearless can cause I've dropped Fearless from all non-Synapse and non-Bio-titan units. With an accompanying points cost drop.

This also allowed me to drop the Heirodules pts somewhat. When writing lists I've found I just couldn't justify taking them rather than adding more bodies. Hopefully they're adequately cheap now.

-Raveners
They didn't get up to much in this game, through no real fault of their own. But I have had my eye on them previously anyway. With just one 3+ CC they just don't have much umpth.
In the v9 list this is perfectly justified as they are essentially Warrior bodyguards, that alone is worth their cost.
In my list, as only available to Trygons, itself a sort of tunnelling grenade, they needed to justify the 1 action they and the Trygon where ever likely to get.

To this end I've given the +1 Extra Attack in Close Combat.

-Points Changes
So the above 2 are the only stat/rules changes. I'm happy with the special rules, unit stats and their distributions in the army as a whole- it's only their points cost that I'm looking to play with.
Smug much, I admit, but I think the list is simple enough and reflects most other armies in that each formation tends to concentrate on 1-3 different unit types at most, and fulfills a particular role.

Most of my changes have been slight pts drops. From memory, Gaunts are 15pts, not 20. Assault and Brute swarms basic cost dropped slightly. Carnies, etc cheaper due to non-Fearless.

Trygon pts cost dropped slightly.

The Dominatrix is 50pts dearer, at 550pts. I found it one of the most useful/powerful things in my list, doing a lot...perhaps more than 500pts of things.

Hopefully I'll be doing some more playtesting, but I can't see me changing anything but pts costs now (famous last words).
