Very quick flick, and looks good Chroma, nice work.

Please keep all lists in, makes it all the more likely lists will be playtested and feedback will be received.

On first glance, it looks good.

I like your version of the Redeemer / Crusader being slightly more powerfulle than the normal LR, and the Redeemer slightly better in assault than the Crusader is a better option.

However, IMHO you should consider revising the THawk Transporter stats. I would suggest that it should be DC1 and 4+RA. The point about this is that it is armoured but much weaker, a single shot can take it out, so encouraging people to use it conservatively. On the other hand, two of these work out at 200 points.

The main issue with DC2 is that it will be too resilient even with reduced armour, because of the number of hits needed to take out one A/c in a formation of two or three.

One nitpicky thing: The chapters name is Salamanders not Salamander :) Same as it is Blood/Dark Angels and Space Wolves, etc.

Ok and V2.4 Dark Angels can now be found here: http://www.tacticalwargames.net/forums....y337063

Just went over your DA list.

Questions:

1. Why can't Dev's have Plasma cannons?
2. Why Plasma AP+4/AT+4? Why not MW+4 or +5?
3. Mortis have Autocannon's. Why not Plasma? It can in 40k right?
4. Why aren't the DW cooler? They are the best Termies in the galaxy by the fluff?
5. I like limiting allies to 1/4 but maybe ditch the Navy all together and have only Titian support? DA could work with just Hunters and T-Hawks but we need the AM support.
6. Why can't DA have any LR variants? We are the 1st Legion after all. Plus there is the new Ares LR that fluff wise came from the AM/DA.

Just some thoughts...

You don't think fearless Terminators are cool?

Just went over your DA list.

I appreciate your input A_o_C, but could you take discussion of specific army lists to their appropriate forum?

That's where the Champion or Sub-Champion will be posting and responding to ideas and questions.

Thanks!

I actually really like this idea.

DC1? Since you need special rules for embarking a formation into multiple Thawk Transporters anyway why not just make them simple AV transporter aircraft?

Salamander Terminators are missing the to-hit stat on their flamers.

They could then barge a couple of models out of the way, those things are really huge models. Some Knights have DC1 too, don't see at being a problem in any way.

Great to see this coming on Chroma! :-) :agree:

One thought: could you colour code the Net-EA Approved / Development / Experimental stamps and text on the top right please to make them more obvious at a glance? Perhaps green, yellow and red or something.

There has been much debate on THawk transporters. They are essentially a stripped down THawk that can carry more vehicles, so still a WE. However formations of more than one DC2 aircraft pose too many problems and make costing very difficult.

Treating them as a 100 point DC1 aircraft removes most of the difficulties and returns them to a level that is comparable with the original THawk and the Landing Craft. So the player now has a striaght choice between better protection and greater transport capacity.

I note that we have still kept Sniper as a +25 point upgrade to a single unit. Have we entirely rejected the notion of redefining this as a +50 point upgrade to the entire formation?

Likewise, I still see the 75pt Vindicator as the choice of someone who wants to lose their games.

Again, that is something to bring up with the Army Champion (Hena) in the Space Marines' forum.

For the record, I agree with a "larger" upgrade option.

And I agree here too, the Vindicator is, maybe, worth 50 points a pop as an upgrade.
