Going off title somewhat, heres my two Mega-Gargants. One is the classic build and the other has some modifications.

And the Two shoulder padded warhounds. 40k SM shoulder pads with magnet mounts for swappable weapons (Like most of my Imperial Titans) in an underslung configuration.

I would change the 40k faces - make the eyes into eye clusters, that sort of thing - stuff that wouldn't scale and so throws off the 'size' of the model.

I was wondering how those old OOP warhounds would look with weapons attached like you have. Just couldn't bring myself to hack up a few reavers and warhounds to try it :)

I did consider something like that but it's new territory. All the GW Tyranids produced so far (With the exception of the slugs) have bigger heads. If you look at FW's 40k scale Hierodule, Hierophant, Harridan and Trygon they all have regular Tyranid heads upscaled to match the body. I've gone with that style and used the easiest option of Gaunt/Warrior heads depending on size.

Now for my new style (Ravener genus) Assault Spawn. To date my only fully greenstuff sculpted models as I usually use some suitable components (40k Tyranids usually). Firstly the Haruspex. Wire armature for the body and each of the 4 arms. Built up with greenstuff details and then arms attached to the body with greenstuff and shoulder guard armour plates added.

Frontal view showing a scale comparison between the old Carnifex, my new Malefactor, old Trygon and my converted Trygon.

The Assault spawn sits quite nicely above the old carnifex in size but smaller than the WE class Trygon

Fingerprints are a bit of pain (although there is some lined texturing on some of the armour plates that look similar), I'll get some small files on the more noticeable ones at some point.
