Mate; you've made those baneblades look SO much better than they do on the FW site; think i'll finally have to buy some i guess!

Definitely.  The dry-brush jobs Forge World seem to rely on for Epic IG models are not at all flattering, but Vaaish makes them look lovely!

Keep it up fella!

Vaaish,

I've only just stumbled upon this board and just enjoyed viewing all 21 pages of your amazing work.

Great work indeed!

10k views, I don't think I've ever had a topic go over that before :) Sorry Apoc, the group shot of all the IF outside of my own will need to wait for Cal to decide. (probably not before the next trays reach him.) IG on the other hand is waiting for the last 9 chimeras to be finished which in turn I'm waiting to hear back from a forum member if he still wants to swap turrets before I start chopping them. That may be next week or in two weeks. Thanks, everyone, I'm pretty fond of how those baneblades turned out myself. So much detail on those little things and with my major army projects coming to a close and my current armies in a playable state, I hope to feel less rushed on additions to the forces.

Pods and Baneblades look a treat Vaaish. Great stuff as always. I will certainly put a group shot up once the army is complete. It is an awesome looking thing so far and deserves a big group pic to finish off with.

Cheers
Aaron

well, um, with tacops on the fritz, I've been working hard :) Did some enhancements to the marine lander I picked up a few weeks ago, and finished an assault det. Both are up on warseer, but I'll post them again here for those who don't visit there.

Nice Lander mod! I may well have to borrow that idea when one day I do my own one if you don't mind.

Lander looks great, especially from such a dramatic angle.

Nice job Vaaish. YEah. The lander always looked a bit thin. I liked the original concept that was on the SG website druing E:A playtesting better (fatter: Sort of like a stretched Land Speeder and not totally unlike the IG dropship actually. Still had the 4 rhino clamps on the side but they integrated into the hull better.)

Thanks! I'm slowly working up a good paint job on it. but I'm taking my time and doing proper highlights.

WMN: you wouldn't happen to have a pic of that floating around would you?

I used to have before a computer crash wiped my harddrive some years ago. It was in the "pic of the day" on the old SG website. Not sure if it can still be found though. Basically imagine the current dropship rear section with the old IG dropship front. maybe add some armorplating to beef up the clamps slightly, so there weren's so much of a gap between the rhinos and the dropship. Basically it meant that the dropship looked quite aerodynamic when the Rhinos were attached.

With the forum being down for so long, I seriously missed your painting log. I love your IG Baneblades, and cannot wait for you to paint that Lander.

WMN: too bad you lost the image, sounds like it would be a fun scratch build.

Thanks, the lander is coming along slowly since I'm hoping to use it as a centerpiece for the IF force. I finished up another devastator detachment tonight for Cal leaving me with only the two tactical detachments left as far as troops go. Looks like the poor guard are on hold once more as the next thing to hit the painting table are two FW thunderhawks.

Enjoy!

Vaaish, great work, as always! Truly inspiring. Could you maybe take a photo of the Landing craft belly-up, so that I can can have a better look at your improvement and completely steal it?

cheers sanjuro
