Am after some information on the old metal stompas produced during the AT era. I've got my hands on one of them, it is copyrighted 1990 and have looked through WD 130 to see pictures of two different models. Does anyone have info/pictures on these models and any others produced? Were they limited edition, etc?

No, those would be the Tinbotz.

just to make sure: You arenøt thinking of the 40k Runtbotz that some people have been using as Epic Stompers?

edit: Ah, Trademaster Adam beat me to it :)

If you scroll down that EpicCollector page you'll see there are actually two original metal stompas listed, only one of which he has a photo of.

I quite like those old tinbot model. They're so cute :D
I think Krooza once used one as a BFG scale Gargant on an Ork Hulk conversion.

That's the ones on the epicollector site - bottom left here. Just trying to find more information on when they were released, were they limited edition, event only, something else?

They were SM1 era.  As far as I know they were not limited edition in the sense of being intentionally restricted.  However, not many were made.  The "Stompas" plastic sprue release made them obsolete and Citadel stopped production.

Here's a pic of one of the original Metal SM1 era Stompas ... I added the belly gun and upgunned his arm cannon ...  The other version IIRC Maksim has ...  His moutn is straight not ^v^v^ ... like mine ...    Mine is shown on EpiCollector - No.1  ... No.2 is the missing Stompa pic, that I believe Maksim has ...  :alien:   And a Tin'bot I'm using for a Stompa ...     :alien:

Edit - ARGH, can't stop the ampersand from being encoded into the URL!

Thanks for that! They yours? Bid put in.

If anyone else wants one too we could perhaps come to an agreement rather than get into a bidding war.

I've put a good bid in, barring someone paying silly money I should get them and we can work something out for one to be yours.
