we play big games in my small group, the normal 3000 pointer doesnt sate out gaming hunger, so 5000 has become the new 3k for us, that being said i sort of slid into necrons against my will, but already have alot of the models already, i figure i would give them a shelf space. so here is my working 5000 point list, looking for advice from necron players, it is certainly meant to be scalable down to 3k games when someone wants a quick game.

Tomb Complex 75
Nightbringer 300

infantry phalanx, lord, spyder 300

pylon 200

Abattoir 750

the lord upgrade already comes w/ the inf phalanx
as far as the list, i'd probably go w/ more monoliths. 3 unit formations are too easy to break. granted monoliths are fearless but when they beam out at the end of the turn, your infantry is sitting there alone. one extra monolith to those formations allows the infantry to assault thru one and then go out the other on the 5 cm follow up. plus it beefs the formation up to 4 units.

i forgot to mention the pariahs. they are awesome and they have inspiring. you'll be spending most of your time assaulting so they are a good upgrade to take.

assault- bring inf phalanx assaulting thru portal and leave them within 5cm of your second portal. win assault. 5 cm follow up move back thru second portal off board or thru a third portal.
of course this requires monoliths to be somewhat close to enemy but that should be no big deal. they can move up and put a blast marker on the formation your about to assault.
list looks good by the way. i usually play w/ more monoliths. but that should be fine w/ the flayes ones teleporting in. i'm sure someone else could point out some better options but i usually play a more "friendly" list. the necrons are in the process of toning it down a little.
