Therefore, adding 2 to 2 and getting 5, one might possibly put the above speculation with the tidbit of FW *possibly* doing a Titan v Titan game and get...

*whispers it...*

a new version of ADEPTUS TITANICUS???????

Actually, there is already a rumor that FW is indeed planning on doing a Titan vs. Titan game. I'd be happy with limited time re-releases of some classic OOP games, particularly Man 'O War.

Hey D/S - the (alleged) FW version was what I was referring to.  Whoever releases them, I'll be a fan of ANY new EPIC miniatures...

... but to be completely honest, I'd LOVE to see GW give Adeptus Titanicus the loving-update treatment they've given Space Hulk.

Can you imagine it?  A box set, with 6 new plastic Titan sculpts?  Three Imperial (in blue plastic, natch  :)) ) and three Chaos (in Red - of course!  :;):  )...  With new buildings (either all plastic, or Cardboard/plastic hybrids like SM 1/2, I don't mind   )

With new rulebooks that have lots of fantastic new illustrations...

:wow:

You'd have a set that would make all of us EPIC players and nostalgic wargamers react like a hormonal teenage girl reading a 'Twilight' novel...

I know, I can dream the impossible dream...

...but admit it, you all think it'd be an awesome idea too!

I can't see Man O' War working as a limited edition. How are you supposed to put a fleet together when the game is only available for a few months?

Yeah, that would be awesome to see. Dare to dream, Firestorm. Dare to dream!  :vD

Surely the fact they've re-released Space Hulk is a step in the right direction?  It's pretty much fan service, and whilst I'm sure some of the younger market will pick it up they aren't going to get the nostalgia factor (heck I'm 23 I don't quite get that, still picked it up though!), I'm sure they realise it's going to be mostly older gamers picking it up.  I'm sure you guys have heard of the negative comments from lots of (I'm guessing younger) players - expensive, wrong bases, can't use them in my army etc, whilst us oldies are just excited to see it being re-released.

After a good few years of targeting the LOTR castoffs maybe they're going to try something for us more hardcore types? Maybe?  I can't imaging many 10-14 year olds have picked up Aeronautica but that seems to be doing ok.

Just a thought.

Ha!    We should start a campaign!  Storm the GW design team HQ!  Demand they bring back Adeptus Titanicus!  I'm sure we can get a good mob together from these forums!

They will hear our demands

We don't need a mob. Just an elite strike team of skilled 3d modellers and some muscle to roughen up the GW staff :D

Well forget about F/W Necrons, IMO -  think E/W Edenities in about 60-90 days ... As you Gangbangers say, "Word!" !!!  :)  That's all I have to say about that ... :vD   And I'm not really interested in Tony C scale Titans ...  But ... What about the structures that would/could/may come with a Tony C Titan Game ?     8v)

The models look excellent!

All I can say is what a shame no one wants to pick up what could be an excellent chance to revamp epic. As someone said, these models are likely to attract mostly just older heads, without the backing of someone prepared to really push things further.
There is clearly the talent out there to do something special, but I can't help feeling that the future depends on new gamers- I will continue to mail GW and others.

Feel like I'm repeating myself but with the massive popularity of 40K, epic could yet have its revenge! Newer gamers don't play epic for the simple reason that it is never promoted or displayed in shops.

The original PDF doesn't seem to exist any more.  Any other link to the file?

The original document is now offline.

Some pictures from it (along with more appeals from people for Forgeworld to release the models) can be seen here: http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2009/06/ ... found.html

Unfortunately Epic is not on their radar and likely never will be, and nor will GW sell the rights to produce Epic externally, so these models will regrettably never see retail.
