Thanks, I have some extra special freehand in mind for the command stands on the last tactical detachment as a kind of celebratory effort after having painted up so many epic marine troops :)

Just been looking at this thread to gain more inspiration for my own Imperial fists, and the work here never ceases to amaze me.

Vaaish, you are a mean machine at painting.   :D

Cheers...

Thanks, and it's time for the weeks update. Here are the completed IF Scouts and Terminators marking the end of these critters and leaving one full battle company of infantry to go. All plastic too which is a welcome relief from epic metal infantry that can be a pain to get mold lines off of.

Slight change in plans, I'll still do the baneblades next week because they need finishing and my IG is laughing at me being this close to done. However the Drop pods were calling me (Ok, it clears out 4 blisters which gives me space for the rest of the stuff) so they will be next up for the fists.

I also decided to go a bit nutty with the banner this time to see if I could pull it off at this scale. I'm pretty pleased with the result and I have a better idea how to go about this next time. Enjoy.

The Terminators are great :agree: as are the marines, especially side on in their advancing columns.

Thanks, I'll get these sealed today sometime and if all goes well, I might even get the baneblades basecoated :)

Weekend time and I'm done with the last of my IG superheavies. This final batch is the lucius pattern Baneblades. They were quite a blast to paint and it brings me one step closer to a complete IG army. Just have 9 chimeras to go.

Next up though are a pile of drop pods that are assembled and ready for priming.

Thanks, everyone! I've been busily painting up the drop pods and they are finished, a day or two earlier than expected despite the rather large distraction of Firestorms package arriving and its Marine landing craft beckoning me to paint. Tough call to paint that or finish out guard this coming week. Either one has some conversion work to be done. For the LC it's putting a cover over the hole on the bottom rear and bulking up the spine so it looks like it can carry as many marines as it's supposed to and for guard it's the last of the chimera conversions.

Well I digress from the subject at hand, so without further blathering, here are the drop pods. Enjoy!

Awesome stuff.

Also, I notice this topic just went over 10,000 views. Nice going!

Those look great, but when do we get a group/army shot of it all together?
