I just dug up the article in WD 196 on the eleven, 5+ kg(    ) 40K scale models that were produced and it talks about how they started initially with an enlarged drawing of the Epic scale model.

That is quite a size difference between the SM2 & E40K models.  Could it be that the current T-Hawk is, erm, part of the GW "truescale" conspiracy!?!
