^ Thanks. Incidentally, I'm guessing everyone noticed the couldn't-be-more-simple conversions on the Thousand Suns: little trapezia made from 300gsm card stuck to the heads. At one stage I considered trying to make loincloth/tabard things as well, but decided it wasn't worth it in the end.
Next are some Havocs. I've never much liked that term, incidentally. 'Havoc Squads' would be fine, but I've never liked to speak of 'a Havoc' or 'some Havocs'. Still, here they are:

While the models were all unpainted, I found the Havoc stands very difficult to distinguish at a glance from ordinary Chaos Space Marines. Unlike the Space Marine with Missile Launcher, the heavy weapon model isn't so obviously different from the others that you can pick him out at a distance, so without examining it closely, it's hard to tell whether there are one or two of them on the stand. I eventually decided to distinguish them by painting the regular CSMs' top-knots red, while doing them black on the Havocs. All of my 40k CSMs had black top-knots at the time, so I went and re-painted them to conform.
The Rhinos differ only subtly from the regular ones: the hatches on the roof and sides and the panels on the front are black rather than silver.
Next up will be a Forlorn Hope. I'm planning to paint the models a bit differently from normal to represent their role as scouts, give them a bit of camouflage. Actually trying to paint DPM at this scale would, I think, be beyond me, but a mix of green and brown armour plates might be possible.
Once they're done, I'll have exactly 4,500 points painted. I'll then take a break to paint another Warhound Titan for ToEG09. Then I'll see about some character stands for the retinues.
