You might want to make them a set size. Some people don't like a min-max formation size as it adds to the mysterious "popcorn" effect that everyone complains about.

Hmmm

I was making them the same number as in the World Eater 1.1 list (4-8).

I will start making the army up and see how I go in relation to the rest of the army. No doubt the World Eater list has higher numbers of troops and therefor more expense. I would hope that the 4-8 above would not be an issue with such a force.

We'll see how it goes..

With 4-8 people will almost always take 2x4 rather than 1x8.

I'd think most people would take a formation of six, a balance between cost and fragility.

The point being that it's better to pre-set a size so that the list isn't as exploitable.

What Mr D you have never faced a box of popKhorne?

Fixed size - anyway of making it the sacred number? Either 8 stands, or a multiple of eight models or similar. Its something I've love to see int he chaos lists, though saying that I do my best to ensure I shoehorn it in somehow when making bases of stuff.

OK

Getting away from theorising, I would actually ask people to make a list and see what they come up with.

I predict you will actually be hard pressed for points big time as things are way expensive due to the larger numbers.

At least the 4-8 gives some leverage in adding or cutting some points which I think is important to a list. 8 is far too large a number to set this unit at (640 points).

At the end of the day, it will be up to the AC to decide anyways.

Cheers....

I would start at 6 - it's not fluffy but for gaming purposes it might be a wiser move. Also, withthe number of fearless in the list toning down numbers may be necessary to some extent. Playtest will tell.

Actually frogbear, start them at 6 for 400. I don't think they are worth the same as a Terminator personally. No shooting or teleporting or no RA. They may have infiltrator but they have to reach the enemy before they can hit them

Type: Light Vehicle (LV)

I'm really surprised no one is commenting on them being Light Vehicles... it always seemed people thought that was "the Kiss of Death"... *LAUGH*

LV is perfectly fine if it's used where appropriate.
