I wasn't being sarcastic, the fluid swarms is a hugely important part of the ERC army list. When using the ERC army list I use it on every turn of every game, in some manner.

And do you find it's difficult to use?  Does your opponent get angry or confused when you use the ability?

No and no. 'Spawning' causes actual complaints, but not fluid swarms.

OTOH, are fluid swarms needed, when the list has such a Special Rules bloat problem?

I personally would like to keep the ERC and French list seperate.

I would also prefer that the discussion talk about the change (if or needs to happen), to make this list acceptable. At 9.2.1, is there a list that has had so much work on it?

How far are we from saying "Tested" on the WikiWar page?

One question I would like answered is whether the people making the most noise against the Nid 9.2.1 list have even played with the French and/or ERC rules.

It's hard to accept people's views if they have not tried the list. I am not trying to cause issue here, but it would be good to know that people are playing the list and giving an informed opinion rather than just trolling a list that they have merely read.

I may have been guilty of this in the past myself, yet after my experiences here, I do see the quality of trying a list before giving opinions on it - that's all.

I know I've played both sets of rules...   :vD

I believe that the Tyranid list must be the one that has been worked on the longest, and made the littlest progress.

Every time one issue is fixed another major issue crops up. The list has been struggling with trying to reduce 'Special Rules Bloat' for several iterations, after Jervis read it and said there were far too many of them.

And a lot of that work was due to Jervis edict that Tyranids shouldn't be effected by blast markers. A lot of time and effort went into trying to make that work before it became apparent that it was never go to work.

And, the thing is, we met Jervis's mandate on this, so I'm not sure why you keep bringing it up as an issue.

I honestly can't remember what word limit he set for the Special Rules actually.

1200 words?

It was 1200 words or less an no more than "double" the number of Special Rules the original Swordwind Eldar had.

I've got it written down.  *laugh*

I get 1132.

I hope you're not including the reprinted "Tunnelers" rule in there, since that's a general rule that just wasn't included in the online pdfs.

And a lot of "flavour" text could be pared down if we really need to get the word count down.
