Ouch! I hope you complained to GW to hell and back about that can of Purity Seal Bans, I would not have been happy! Juffo-Wup's is a sad tale too.

Re the titan: the containment fields on the Warlord's plasma reactor gave in under heavy enemy fire and it went critical  :oh:

... ok in reality; I snapped it's legs off somehow and couldn't seem to repair it, and I also lost a piece. Since it was already dead then, like the little pyromaniac I was, I decided to set in on fire to look like the above had happened. It came out quite well I thought. So the melting actually wasn't so much the accident, but what happened afterwards, but I thought it looked cool and worth posting. May paint it up one day as scenery or an objective, possibly adding a few (presumably just ejected) titan crew staring sadly back into the inferno.

Here I thought it was melted by accident. Thanks for the clarification, Glyn. Yeah, it would be perfect as an objective.

Wow these are some good stories :))

Here's my true tale of woe:

I was about 10 yrs old, and I had just gotten out of the shower.  I passed by my newly painted Space Marine-era minis (then newly released), proudly displayed on a terain piece.  For some reason, I thought this would be a good time to take some pictures of them.  After snapping a few pics, I put the camera down to arrange some land raiders.  I must have pressed the self timer or something because I heard the shutter snap shortly afterwards.  Thinking nothing would have been photographed, I sent the pics for finishing. :sulk:
A week later, I picked up the prints.  The store owner was a friend of the family, and generally checked the prints to make sure they were good quality.  He gave me a weird look.
Perusing the pictures, I passed by some rather blurry land raiders to arrive at a nicely framed, zoomed view of frontal male anatomy.   You couldn't have gotten it more in focus if you tried.

I never ever went back to the store, and eagerly awaited the digital revolution.

cheers,
CF

I have suffered from knocking a pot of paint over onto a formation eagerly awaiting varnish but my worst one was a coupe of years ago, I spent best part of six months painting a 40K army for a tournement, the week before went to a friends for a practice on the way there nipped into a shop for the sugar fix, came out to find some git had smashed the car window and made off with my figure case

I dropped my converted Banelord Titanfrom around 1,60m it fell halfway down on my table and from there on the floor. Took me some time to recollect the parts.

And nit Epic but at 13/14 or so i build a large box of cartboard and filled it with garden earth to play WWI in it because io could carve trenches in the earth which previoulsy was somehwat difficult with the floor of my room   .
Well i left the box filled with earth and around 100+ lovely painted French and German soldiers in my room for some time only to discover a strange smell as i returned. It took me some moments to realise that my cat had found a new litter box....
Fortunately Catzilla didn't "hit" any of the soldiers
