You are absolutely right, Zombo. Interesting article, by the way.
This reminds me of an incident that happened at a local hobby store. This happened at least 25 years ago, so some of the details might be fuzzy. The store, which was called cleverly enough "War and Pieces", carried primarily plastic models, history books, books like the Osprey series and magazines for making and painting historically accurate models and dioramas. There was also a large selection of wargames from Avalon Hill, SPI, etc. One day this woman walks and has a look around the place. She looks at the models and thumbs through some of the modeling journals. Apparently this appalled her, because she thought the hobby store glorified war and in disgust she dropped one of the magazines on the floor and stormed out calling everyone there a "warmonger."
This narrow-minded view of our hobby is obviously still alive and kicking, as seen in the article TRC has kindly posted for our amusement. I don't know if any of you clicked on that website's homepage, but it looks like there are a bunch of links to conspiracy theory articles.
Frogbear, I'll like your sentiment, also.
