Hey folks, sorry but I'm not gonna make it.

Mostly due to having just got back from holiday and probably being jet-lagged, and also as I've only ever played two games and I think I'll probably hold everyone up.

I plan to be a regular at the Cock though so I'll see you all when I get back with any luck.

With E&C (who has yet to pay), it will be 16 excluding me on Saturday and 8 excluding me on Sunday.

Apparently Zombocom, Pulsar and Daniel Law are not able to come so there are 4 spare places for Saturday, and lots of space on Sunday.

I emailed you earlier about details it's probably in your inbox.

With less than a week to go there are 15 entrants for the Tournament on Saturday, and up to 10 for the Sunday 'scenario' day.

Scenarios will be:-
    Ambush,
    Cleanse,
    Meeting Engagement,
    Spearhead,
and possibly Last Stand (depending on numbers)

Please read through the scenarios and note any restrictions (for example, Last Stand prohibits the use of Spacecraft). I would also recommend preparing two army lists to cover these kind of points.

Also, please let me know if you have any suggestions or requirements and I will try to include them.

Wait, I thought the Sunday gaming would have more varied army lists than just Official/EUK as with last year,  and with scenarios being optional extras... Zombo & Pulsar (and consequentially maybe myself too) will probably want to pull out if it's restricted to Official lists only.

Heck, Zombo doesn't actually own any Official armies (only Dark Eldar & Necrons), and I know Pulsar wants to use his Templars not his Eldar.

*pokes self for being useless and not reading page one properly*

Not a problem, army lists should be sent to me first but will not be rejected out of hand if they are not 'official'.

However, I was intending to play-test the scenarios as something completely different and 'non-competitive', and will need everyone to be 'sensitive' when playing them. I have tried several and they play very differently to the usual tournament game. As such they are both very refreshing and challenging - but they are also a work in progress. There are still some unclear points that will need to be discussed and played through. This does not mean that 'un-official' armies won't work, but it would be helpfull if they were more 'average' than 'power-gamed' or 'extreme'. (so 13 THawks and a Landing Craft will not be allowed OK)

I would also add the some scenarios will favour one style of army over another. This is one reason why I want to exclude 'Hold at any cost', because 'Nids and especially Siegemasters (and their fortifications) are at a huge advantage if defending while at a huge disadvantage if attacking (the same is also true to a lesser extent in 'last stand'). Depending on preferences we may just concentrate on three or four of the scenarios.

Finally as noted above, it may be sensible to prepare two army lists that may be used if you are the "attacker" or "Defender". This is because some scenarios and roles require a lot more mobility than others - making the game much less enjoyable if you have completely the wrong army make-up to start with.

Righto sounds good to me.

If Jack A. does end up contacting you / coming along, I think it would be best to 'just' give him some normal Tournament style games as he's still learning the ropes of Epic (he's only played a half dozen games so far). I'm sure the rest of us will be up for Scenarios.
