Does anyone have any experience with this tool:

http://battlechronicler.com/

It was mentioned on 40K Radio and seems very interesting.

I looked at this a few weeks ago. As all the batreps I've done recently are from vassal I've not needed this tool.

I've only seen it since reading your post CS, but I've been thinkiong of looking for a similar app so your post was brilliantly timed!

I've now downloaded it, 3 expansion sets of terrain graphics & it looks great. Think it will take some setting up, to get all the army information in there but once an army is in there, its good to stay, so should be very useful in Chronicling" the activities of Basileus Kra-Vor (aka whats the latest unit I crave?) & his hardened Space Crocodiles (aka Kraytonians).

Cheers for the heads up & I'll let you know how I get on with it.  :))

oooohhh

Bookmarked.

I'll have to work with that for a while, I think I've figured out how to do long-distance Infinity games now...

I've been playing around with it and its really nice & simple to use.

Definitely worth downloading the extra component packs to get the basic hills & stuff for more options.

I'm not usually one for making my own additions to such things, but the interface is so simple, it makes it really easy just to fiddle a few component details & make hills the shape of your choosing etc.

It is designed for close order games however. You cant really represent formations which are spread out over a large area, but its not too restrictive overall.

I really like the army list system too - once you have an army in one file, you can import it to another game. The army list viewer marks the status of all the formations in the complete army and those not in use simply register a status of "in the box" so there's no confusion. I can see that it will make campaign play & mapping quite easy using this too.

I've finally just finished inputting all my Kraytonian formations in there so I can now use them in any game I want.

In summary - I havent had time to write a proper report up on it yet, but I'm sold!  :))
