I have to admit after reading these batreps I'm disappointed that they don't seem to discuss the new rules implemented all that much. To me discussion should be made regarding these changes or they're just so much bandwidth volume. I'm not attacking anyone here, just that I thought there would have been more feedback regarding the changes.

Personally I'm not that happy with the ML/GM changes as they don't work well enough now.

Just my 2 cents

I think they don't work because they force Tau to send infantry and skimmers on one way trips for limited gain.

This is what ML Towers and Remora Drones are created for.

Back to the batreps.

Actually, because they are mounted, they "count as vehicles for terrain effects", so they don't get that bonus for being on overwatch, since that is a "terrain effect" for infantry.

Aha! Then I claim a rematch ;)

As it happens this had no effect on the game whatsoever.

Putting in the Manta at the last minute was a really poor choice on my part, I had a plan and should have stuck to it.

@Dobbsy Mephiston and I did/have discussed various rules changes and so on during/after our games.  But I can see why Mephiston doesn't put our "idle speculation" into battle reports.  We have both made posts where we have presented our views on how things performed in games in various threads since then.

I was sure the mounted infantry on over watch get cover was debated and agreed on this very forum. But after much searching I can't find the thread so I must have imagined it  :sigh: As nothing moved into line of sight of the RRs its a moot point.
