Oh and the Salamander Dreadnought doesn't have the Walker ability.

Really?? Why not?

It has legs and Walker should be standard to all Dreadnoughts.

Doesn't matter, Ironclad isn't Latin for anything and you haven't changed that. It's called a Siege Dreadnought.

I would go with something like:

'Tactical' Dreadnought (Assault Cannon and Power-Fist with StormBolter)
'Hellfire' Dreadnought (Twin Lascannon and Missile Launcher)
'Furioso' Dreadnought (Power-Fist with StormBolter and Power-Fist with Meltagun)
'Vulcan' Dreadnought (Multi-melta and Power-Fist)
'Ironclad' Dreadnought (Hurricane Bolters and Seismic Hammer & 4+ RA save)
'Siege' Dreadnought (Inferno Cannon and Siege-Drill with Heavy Flamer)
'Mortis' Dreadnought (Two Twin Autocannons)

Most lists would only use two variants from the list above, but I could see the Iron Hands making use of all of them!

Typo I'd assume.

Calidus Dreadnought is too reminiscent of the assassin to be used IMO and lets just follow GW's lead of calling it a Siege Dreadnought, 99% of people wouldn't know what the latin meant and it would just cause confusion.

Considering epic players might not necessarily have any knowledge of the W40k background and it's just more confusing, shouldn't we call them Close Support Dreadnought (Furiso) say rather than the other way around?

Yes it is a typo. Should indeed have Walker.

@E&C i'm ok with the naming. But 'Hellifre' for the TwinLas&MissileLauncher one would fit better because it's the name of the Dreadnoughts with this configuration in Dawn of War :)

'Vulcan' sounds to mich like a Salamanders only unit. Fervidus reminds me of Fever which fits but could be a target of silly jokes. I like Calidus :) or Calefacto (to heat something)

Ah, fair enough then. Took you to mean that he'd done it deliberately for some bizarre balancing reason.

Hellfire Dreadnought could work, since it appears in Dawn of War.

'Vulcan' sounds to mich like a Salamanders only unit.

Primarch Vulcan could have invented or favoured it's design, and a line saying as such could be included in the flavour text for the unit saying so.

I just think Vulcan sounds better than Fervidus personally, and anyway we're already prepped for it - a Leman Russ Tank is hardly a Space Wolf only tank now is it?

Will you edit the .doc or should i? Remember to take in account the NetERCs Tourney Mods.

I'd prefer a Mortis to be armed with the original configuration of 2 x twin-linked autocannon. It's more iconic and coller looking than just twin missile launchers!

Its so much easier to make missile launchers :)

Think some of us are getting a bit carried away here - this is epic with relevant abstractions; there's no need to give stats to every single Dreadnought type any more than there is to have stats for every possible Razorback type say, the games could quickly get over-complicated.

IMO Melta, Furioso, Mortis and Siege should be plenty and then added sparingly to lists (people could (always unofficially sub them in for friendlies or scenarios anyway).

I think this is more a friendly discussion than anything else.

I personaly don't think any list should have more than 2 dred types. Thats enough!

I can't be hypnotised like that. The 'Vulcan' Dreadnought will never be called the tactical!
