I'm beginning to wonder if they kinda regret going down this road! No real response to the request for another mail shot and another forum member reports not knowing the $1 was now needed. Even the page in catalogue has no mention of this, and I know a web page exists on the site!

Now, if WF decided to pull the plug is the work JBR produced something Exodus wars would consider picking up and running with? Would that even be possible?

Last time anyone was told 800ish. WF then made some comments that the number had stalled and they may need to put a time limit on it.

I don't really know much about the whole financial part of EW but the chances of EW doing plastics are probably not that great. Ultimately it'd be Tom's decision of course but my guess would be that anything like this would be done as metal models. Apart from the current work on the Guild Modular Tanks there's the Tarragin race which you saw some greens of last year and another faction is also being developed. Something like this would need to be worked into the schedule and fluff background.
There's aslo a technical side of things as these would have to be rapid prototyped and then bronzed. Zombos Sister will show if this is actually possible with current technology. We know that it works well for tanks, but infantry is another matter.

But that was before anyone realized many people didn't *know* they had to drop a dollar to get the project moving, correct?

Has anyone been in actual voice contact with anyone there?

Sorry, I wasn't expecting EW to produce plastic, just wondered if he could use the output from JBR to produce metal figures instead.

Yes and despite many people saying I didn't know you needed a $1 WF haven't updated the catalogue entry and haven't emailed people who pre-ordered.

I've not contacted them, but being in the UK a phone call would be expensive! I'll need that money to buy their plastic!

You may find that WGF owns the designs seeing as they probably commissioned them.

A reply on the their forum said the boss man was away but he would be made aware of the problems with marketing when he returned!

This may work out after all.

If they're scammers then they're pretty crap ones (who runs a really obvious, tracable scam for $800?)!

More likely they're just not particularly competent at getting the 'now's the time to pre-pay' message out there.

I personally have no interest in them, but given how many of you are, I think it would be a shame if they don't get produced. Having a source of viable Necron proxies might attract new players to Epic.
