Heya Tom, any thoughts as to the price point on these?

Oh, BTW I don't think we ever got a pic of the MRL posted. There were some minor adjustments made to the center part of the turret to match the later SPAAG after this pic was made. I don't think we ever quite finished discussing werther the angle of the launchers were right. They are fairly large so they make the vehicle look top heavy but on the other hand they probably should be mounted at an angle. So how do people feel: Should the angle be lowered or is it fine as it is?

We wont know until the leads arrive and can be weighed, all our prizes are directly proportionate to the weight of the item. Shouldn't be too bad as you've hollowed out the chassis .

For the most part I like it, but it seems that the turret needs to be a bit longer to accommodate the recoil of the cannon.

Hehe, well there's some design considerations to be made ragarding the turret size: It simply cannot be extended further backwards or it will conflict with the exhaust vents from the engines. Further forward and it starts overlapping the roof hatch and targetter. Let's just assume that sci-fi artillery have improved recoil dampeners and muzzle brakes that keeps recoils at a minimum.

The width of the turret is pretty much dictated by the space between the tracks. We could have it overlapping the tracks but that would leave a 1 mm gap between the tracks and turret which might look a bit weird to some. This is one of the compromises that has to be made with a modular system compared to purpose built turret/hulls. Besides the turret wouldn't really have to house much besides the gun and loading mechanism. The tank hull itself is large enough to accomodate the crew.

Actually I'm less comfortable with this design.  The turret doesn't look long enough to cater for that heavy a gun.  I'm also not a fan of the M-48 style muzzle break....that's pretty outre.

One solution would be to make the turret open at the back (gun shield more than turret) with the breech/loading tray exposed.
