The Armoury

I would say Truescale Warlord Titan (Lucius!!!!!!!!)

I voted warlord titan weapons, with the proviso that you let me scribble up a couple of sketches for input.

I actually have a vague plan if I go with 'Warlord Weapons' that'll let them also be compatible with an Ordinatus Minoris.

Basically they would consist of:


Left Arm & Weapon Shield.
Right Arm & Weapon Shield.

And a bunch of plug-on modular weapons.

Those modular weapons would use the same mounting point as a hypothetical Ordinatus Minoris, and possibly even the same mounting point as the carapace weapons on the Warlord Titan.

Its one of my pet hates about the new warlord, I can't image a gatling blaster or whatever looking good on the carapace mount

Missile launcher, sure, but I still can't picture it. I'd love to see what you come up with though

Well if you follow what they've done in Warhammer 40,000, only certain weapons (Warhound weapons, Support Missiles & missile launcher) are allowed on the carapace.

It depends on how much you intend to include on the 'plug-on' bits.  Just distinctive muzzles, or substantial amounts of the inside 'forearm'?  The former wouldn't look very good, IMO, and there could be problems with interchangeability between substantially different weapons.  E.g. fitting a chunky powerfist onto the same slot as the three thin barrels of the FW inferno cannon.
I'd be happier if the modular parts included most of the inner surface of the forearm.  This'd make it easier to include weapon-specific parts like ammo/fuel storage and certain feeds and pipes.  Take a look at the FW titan weapons and see how different they are from end to end.  But that'd be even easier to incorporate, and I'd personally prefer it, if any modularity in titan arm weapons happened at the shoulder...

I was thinking of trying to convince you that a modular design with interchangeability between carapace hardpoints and minoris would be the way to go, but IIRC ordinatus minoris can pack a wider range of weapons than carapace points.  True?

Doing it that way would keep production costs to a minimum, otherwise you'd have to do right arm/left arm versions of all weapons, for example, and you'd need a new third cast to fit on an Ordinatus Minoris or a Carapace slot.

This concept would be able to fit left, right, carapace or Ordinatus...
