Very nice ... I'm going to have to get some Vallejo Cold Black & Black Grey ... :agree:

My experience tells me it takes more than just bying the paint. :))

Fx a 2/0 good brush, a homemade wetpalette and some water to rinse in. Try and stir a little washing-up liquid in to the water. Just the tip of a toothpick is enough. If the water start smelling like washing-up you used more than enough, (try again).

Always use some of the water to thin the paint on your palette. Remember to rinse the brush very often, (you'll find out how often as you paint).

The purpose of a wetpalette is more than keeping the paint thin. After loading your brush, you can draw a fine line on the palette, forming a perfect tip, and reassure you have the right flow in the paint.

Now imagine the brush as a simple tool that transfers more paint to the model the longer you make contact. With small easy strokes you can limit the time of contact between brushtip and model. Try and experiment with the speed of the stroke.

Don't start with trying to paint a long unbroken line in one stroke. Instead paint small spots/strokes along the to be highlightet edge. You can always connect the line later, but I often prefer not to. Looks more real with an uneven highlight on the small vehicles.

Some paint will split into components when thinned with the water, so thin only small amounts at a time when you discover them. My experience show it's mostly metallic-paints.

Still painting in anticipation of the coming battle. I'm working on some old-skool Brainchrusha's

We are discussing whether to make some custom rules inspired by the old description. They do work as standins for Gunwagonz, but it just sounds like more then a mere Gunwagon.

Right now, we are closing in on the following:
Range 60/70cm with either AP4+/AP2+ or MW3+ and CC 6+.

We just use it as a Gunwagon with an Oddboy (Soopagun) upgrade.

Seems to fit the bill nicely.

I believe we're going for something in between Big Gunz and Soopa Weaponz. It's just a big gun that have no special mechanical parts requiring the constant attention of a Mekaniak.

Titans should also have a better chance of resisting a big round ball than a projectile-formed object heading towards dropping the TK-capability.

Oh, it should have a FxF restricting it because of low manueverability.

A Soopagun is just a 60cm range 2BP Macro-Weapon... in other words, a massive blast at the receiving end... sounds like a large shell arriving down range to smash armour to me!  *laugh*

Additionally, only war engines and aircraft have restricted firing arcs in the core rules.

Touche and hat off. :D

You're right. I have seen it as firing a large ball, but it clearly states shell in the text. Didn't even take a look at the Soopagun.

Fire arcs are only used with war engines, but we're not playing tournemantstyle. If it makes the game more fun to have a few normal units with fire arc restriction why not do it?
