Great rumor to boost sales in any event.

Even better rumor would be that FW is disco'ing Epic because GW is bringing the game mainstream again.  I can almost see it... Epic: Super-pocalypse.

I think this rumour to be unlikely, but if it turns out to have some truth to it, my guess is that it would be (as suggested) in response to that other rumour about Epic being re-released in late 2010. Just my 2 cents...

There was a well-sourced rumour they are going to release a Titan game around then, which I guess is what you, or whoever you heard that off, may be thinking of?

Not, as far as I know, a new version of epic generally though, unless there's something I've missed?

In some ways I suppose it's inevitable that if this FW Titan game goes ahead the existing range of Epic Scale Titans they make would be discontinued if they are 'out of scale' with the new models.
I just hope that's all that it is and they don't take this as an opportunity to remove the Tau and other models as well.

Re-release of Epic in 2010?

So ... either F/W is killing Epic ... Or ... is bringing out an Epic Titan game next year ...  Hmmm ... A zero-sum game ...

That would make sense, to be honest--from memory (and this is thinking 20-odd years ago), it all started with the Titans-only Adeptus Titanicus, and then later grew into Epic with infantry and armour.

I could be wrong, though.

Yes, about a year or so after AT was released SM1 was released.  I bought SM1 before AT !

I'm actually quite excited about the Titan game, and the prospect of actual Chaos Titans.
I'd be really gutted if Epic:A were to disappear in order to make it so though

If Forgeworld do release the titan game, and plan on having vehicle/infantry support I'd expect Epic A to disappear from the web.

Having said that it doesn't leave us in any different position than we currently are. If the Forgeworld game proves to be an enhanced EpicA, all rejoice. If not carry on as we are.

Hmm, I imagined the F/W game would be a bit like AI, but with Titans, although I can see it being far more popular than AI (at least around these parts).
If it grows to consume vehicles and troops too then I just  hope it borrows heavily from Epic Armageddon.

Well after all this consternation ... my prediction is E:A will stay around. F/W will continue to produce the Epic & AI models they have ...  And a 50/50 chance of a F/W version of AT in '10 ... with larger Titans. Just like they did with the aircraft models for AI. Continuing F/W's predilection for scale creep on a massive scale. Justifying it by stating they are closer to "real scale" with the 6-8mm Epic Infantry ... Which is also a victim of scale creep.  Note - 6 to 8mm ?   Another case of G/W-FW's lack of prior planning abilities and having little to no plan for the Epic scale game system  ... IMO ...
