While at the Baltimore Games Day I heard a rumor that Forgeworld was going to stop selling Epic models, keeping only those that are compatible with Aeronautica Imperialis.

Does anyone have any information that would substantiate or debunk this rumor?

The source was another player.  While I have no reason to doubt his word, it is 3rd person information and he might have been misled.  Of course, it might be true too. :sigh:

It figures I would find this out AFTER selling off my Tau army.

I hadn't heard that, and had the opportunity to speak with the head of Forgeworld and the head of the Forgeworld studio about FW's Epic support not too many weeks back... they probably would have mentioned it, instead of asking for more sample models...

Of course, times could have changed.

Uh oh, for both my own sake and Epic's future I REALLY hope this proves to be false!

I'm planning on placing a £250 order for epic stuff in the next month or two, if they're going to stop selling I'll have to raid the dwindling 'savings' and get a rather larger one for everything I ever might want ASAP.

I second the request for someone to phone and check, were you offering to E&C?

Yeah I might as well give 'em a call, I've been planning to make a small purchase anyway.

Great! Sounds like you're on good terms with them anyway so they may be more frank with you than any of the rest of us.

Fingers crossed the rumour's inaccurate!

We await your report, E&C ... :))  And based on what happened with the US Epic Archives ... "When in doubt ... buy ..."  :)

I'm kinda enjoying the irony of the responses here after the extensive 'bad FW casts' topic further down the boards. :p

I still have half an army of Tau to purchase as well

I think Chaos Orc has a bunch of Forgeworld Tau stuff.  Just click on the Forgeworld link.

Just did order last night for about $120 GBP of stuff, and may do another.

Entered "Epic Armageddon Chaos Titans" as what I'd like FW to be making...

Like alot of people, I hope this is a false rumour.

I really do not want to spend any more at this stage and was hoping to be able to spend in the future.   :_(

*fingers crossed*

Rather hope thats not true... especially with the recent announcement of that Titan game that seemed to be instilling more hope to a brighter future for epic.

Even though I should have nearly everything I need for my Tau army, if my package comes...

This one seems to come up fairly regularly... often around the release of the new FW catalogue. Each time we have had it so far, it has turned out to be false, and just people traumatised that there is no Epic stuff in the FW catalogue and drawing their own conclusions from it. I wouldnt worry at all until there is something more from FW on this.
