I'm surprised no one's commented yet.  Or did I miss it?

Blood Slaughterer:  I think it is more Khornate than the Brass Scorpion.  It's not my favorite by a longshot, but it is much better.

Khorne DP and Herald:  Sweet, but the Khorne brand on the DP's ass makes me laugh.

Nurgle Blight Drone:  Cool concept - giant mechanical fly meets giant mechanical maggot.  I think this is something to consider for the Death Guard list.  A formation of LV/AV skimmers could help out greatly with some of their issues.

Murgle DP and Herald:  I don't like the DP as much as Khorne's but it could be okay.  The Herald is cool but I think it would be better with a slightly smaller prosthetic arm.  It's sort of Orkishly large.

both the Blood Slaughterer and the Blight Drone are very cool, i think they could easy be used in Epic chaos armys.

and i really like the Khorne daemon prince it all most makes me want to collect a Khone army for WFB

Don't like the slaughterer, let alone less than the brass scorpion. (I'm still confused as to why people think that's 'not khornate')  The overall design looks awkward and unbalanced, and reminds me too much of a Khador Warjack or something.

I like the drone.  Quite unique and unexpected, though I don't think it needs to look like Father Ted went at it with a ball-peen hammer.

The prince: nope.  No sir I don't like it.  Much too stiff and inorganic in it's pose, anatomy and detail.  And I wish FW would stop using that 'straight and parallel stretch wrinkles in the cheek wrapping round the lower jaw' thing.  They've been using it since the Tyranid scythed heirodule and it looks worse each time they do.  It's a poor excuse to avoid proper design and sculpting.

I think they look ok but am dissapointed that were nt able to start with doing 28mm versions of the old epic scale daemon engines. I would have preferred updated versions of the old classics.

Cheers

James

I have to take an opposite position regarding the new daemonic war engines. I like the overall shape of the Khornate thing-of-thinginess, and the neat corroded texturing of the Nurgle drones.

Maybe there's a market for 6mm versions...?

The brass scorpion was pretty nice but the blood slaughterer (what kind of name is that anyway?) is a bit "meh...".
The Nurgle drone is quite different from what I'd expect for Nurgle. It is a fairly nice design (and the corroded paint job looks great) but the insectoid look FW seem to be going for for their Daemon Engines are still a bit more Matrix and a bit less Chaos to me.

I actually think the insectoid/organic theme is cool execution of the Nurgle fly theme on the blight drone.

The other powers... not so much.

So, does no one else think the Khorne ass-brand on the daemon prince is freakish and bizarre?  If I were to buy it, the very first order of business would be sanding that ridiculous thing right off.

Unless I was doing a Khorne Clown army...

I didn't like any of them.  The Nurgle piece was especially horrific, and not in a good Nurgly way!

Of course, I'm also disappointed no to see skull tower and cool good old daemon engines.

Same thoughts on the blood slaughterer. He's a bit funny but still better than the scorpion and waaaayyy better than the V1 one: http://yrcm.free.fr/figurin....don.JPG

The DP & Herald are great. Will order them soon.

The blight drone is great, got one already bought at French GD

Nurgle herald, same thoughts too, he's ok but not that good.

I'm waiting for the new vultures to order the 2 khorny things.

If you're offering I'd be very happy  Though with all the curves and wires they all strike me as extremely hard to computer model.

It would be nice to have models to use with Vraks armies to play 'historical' re-fights against all the Krieg armies there'll soon no doubt be :)

I reckon the Blood Slaughterer and Blight Drone are fantastic models, though I'm less sure on the Brass Scorpion, it looks less Khornate and more like something out of transformers.

I too think the insectoid look is very nurgle, there have always been links between nurgle and flies and I remember seeing in WD/online a very cool flying insect/maggot thing that a was a mount for a nurgle entry in one of the golden demons, which they could well have copied the idea off.

Maybe the Blood Slaughterer has special daemon weapons that er.. slaughter the very red blood cells of it's opponents as well as killing the normal way with it's stabey things?

Holy cow, I'd forgotten about that horrible thing.

On a related note, have there been any more recent pics of the FW Lord of Change in the past few months?
