And, other than the sniper formations, this style of army could be made with my variant of the list as well.

What does this even mean?  How can the ease of writing lists be a strong point for judging the Company/HQ costs?

Honestly, the upgrade from normal commander to supreme commander, including a stat and weapon bump, is worth a lot more than +25 points.  No other army gets it that cheap, what justification is there for the Mossinians?

No other army gets it that cheap


Chaos do, but they're broken.  :devil:

And Orks do, but the structure of the list requires a SC to mitigate their poor Initiative rating...

Artillery Battery.
Artillery Battery.
Light Tanks.
Light Tanks.
Firestrikes.
Fighters.
Fighters.
2 x fortifications

Then adding in either extra upgrades for Inf.Co's and snipers or an extra Inf.Co and bits.

I've been testing them as I would play the normal siege list and against Marines mainly (1 game against IG).

use?

I don't think fewer Stubbers helps the list.  If they've only got one per two stands, the formation needs to be *cheaper*... which just won't do.  Put it to one Stubber per stand, and then, at least, their cost is in line with the Siegemasters... even if it's still pretty dang cheap.

When I look at those sample lists posted, I really don't think it's the Infantry Companies doing the "heavy lifting".

They're still pretty "popcorn".

Why not set some of those three unit formations to four unit formation?  Ups the cost a bit to reduce popcorn, diffentiates more from Barans, etc.

How have they done- I've found marines do well vs mossians, guard not as well.

I found they felt similar to Barans and used 1 stubber per stand.
The Marines did do well and the IG not so well.
