What stats would you suggest for an Imperial Priest then?

Are there not Imperial Priests in the Witch Hunter list?  Or are they the same as Commissars?  *sigh*

*Goes to check*

They're identical to Commissars, except their weapon is named 'Evicerator' and they've lost Fearless and gained Invulnerable Save.

So, a Stormhammer with an Invulnerable Save?

They also cost +50 points in the Inquisition list, as an upgrade... so, I'd have no problem with that.

I think "Preachers/Priests" should be "Added to infantry only" actually.

Sure, it's still going to die when it takes 1DC damage and crits... like all Imperial Super-Heavy Tanks!   :vD

I like the stats for the Priests listed by Chroma. F#Fearless in Epic is not only the absence of fear but high diszipline. A bunch of soldiers aroused by the frenzied speech of a Priest doesn't seem very disciplined to me ;)

@Hellhound: 3+ armousave? Have you seen this big promethium tank it has? One cratch and BOOM! there goes the tank. It should have a 5+ armour saver.
Another thing: Patterndescribes mainly an other weapons configuration and/or slight modification in a vehicles outlook.
But the Mossinion Hellhound looks like a totally different tank. It's as if you called the Ragnarok "Leman Russ Battletank (Ragnarok Pattern)".
So i would rename the Mossinian Hellhound, perhabs to Firedrake, Firesalamander, etc.

With regard to battle reports written up on the forum; there are none (at least by me!).

Well, I've posted one...   :))

But that's not what I'm talking about, I mean *any* reporting on testing/playing be done with the list: armies it's faced, win/loss, point values it's been played at, etc.  Just the basic details of games the list has been involved in.

Has it faced an Ork Horde, or a Black Legion War Engine Army of Doom, or regular Imperial Guard... or even Necrons or Tyranids for some "extreme" testing?

I do like your idea of including them in the HQ btw. But you know my feeling on 25pt upgrades, they'll pop up every where!

Why would 25 point upgrades "pop up every where!"?  They still take an upgrade slot, they still cost points; there's no reason to "have" to take them.

Priest- it doesn't really matter what they have....apart from fearless! Without it I wouldn't be willing to stand by any of my testing or suggestions.

Are you saying that fearless Preachers have been the only thing allowing the Mossinians to compete?

That sounds like a big problem to me.

What armies have they squared off against?

This is the question.

With regard to battle reports written up on the forum; there are none (at least by me!). I think I ought to write a design history and methodology by way of an explanation as to why the mossonians have ended up a) how they are, and b) being rushed at the last minute!

I think the core idea and now balance of the list is good; If the biggest problem we're up against is a fluff debate (Which can be resolved in several different ways, either be re-writing the rules or re-writing the fluff) then the list is almost settled.
