On the bases, they're on 1/4" round bases that are 1mm thick.

6.2mm... that's too big really.

Can they be resized?

I think they're great, and ponied up for my 10 pre-orders. The only thing I don't really like is the humanoid torso for the serpentine bots, but those torsos, mounted on the skimmers and using the guns from the skimmer turrets, will make pretty decent-looking destroyer/heavy destroyer proxies for the Epic Necron fans as well.

I would really have liked to see the skimmer tank that JBR designed make it to this sprue, but I did submit to WF a second Deathbot sprue idea that would contain that tank, plus one or more of the VTOL designs that he sketched early in development.

I think they are great too. Put my $ down for 10 yesterday.

Yep, I've sent off an email to Tony about getting them down to 5.5mm.

5mm is the Epic standard (If you want them to fit in the holes on Epi bases that is).

Schadenfreude, you are so shamefully joyful.

John, your sensibilities and desire for a standalone product are all well and good, but what did you think most people (most people here, anyway) preordered then for?  Forget that - what roles did you design the individual types for?
Nuts to it.  Plenty of mini companies make money offering similar alternatives to any number of IPs.  In this case I'd be more worried about MGM's lawyers.

That is, if any skeletal robots were to be seen.

Sorry you guys are let down.

The size matter was my choice, so I'm to blame, but it's easily remedied.  I figured the Deathbots would be large and in charge.  Command figures were made larger just to stand out from the fields and fields of Regulars would would be on the table.  Mea culpa.

However, to address many of your other concerns, realize I sculpted these as original designs, not proxies for someone else's figs that they are just as capable of producing.  I wasn't interested in opening up my client, and myself, to an IP lawsuit from a big company with lawyers on retainer.  Plus, I don't like to work in other people's shadows.  The Deathbots had to be able to stand on their own as separate intellectual properties, and I think they do.

Best,
JBR

Works for me John ... I understand your concerns.  And I like them ...  I believe they will look fine next to my G/W Chaos Androids(Necrons) and DRM Androids ... "Toasters of the Galaxy Unite !"  :ghost:  :vD   8v)

Although if they add more troops to the sprue, that's just gravy!

And who doesn't like gravy!  :;):

I was about to put my payment down but thought I'd back up the sentiments seen here in an email. I'll put the payment through once we see the new layouts and sizings...
