WF posted the "final sprue" today.

I have no idea why the other requests for changes to this sprue got dropped. I had this on the list:

1) resize the standard and light to 7mm
2) resize the heavies, advanced and lord to 8mm
3) resize the skimmers to 12mm
4) resize the serpentine to 10mm and add a base
5) one variant torso for the serpentine
6) one variant for the standard to see if we can get the contents up to what I listed before.

If you guys agree with these, send Tony an email and ask him to correct it.

I just got an email back from Tony and he says those are all in the works. Somewhat reassuring but I'd still like to see it since things "in the works" sometimes get canned.

The mockup sprue is pretty disappointing.  There are a total of 3 stands worth of 6mm troops.  Ideally I'd prefer to see all the skimmers, repair bot and all the 8mm giants dropped and the sprue filled with actual 6mm infantry.

Standards and light are 8mm in the picture they posted. Heavies 10mm, advanced 10/12mm, lord is huge ~15mm.

What I was aiming for is this:

12 Standard
6 Light
4 Ground Support Skimmers (with 2 of each weapon type or 4 if room)
6 Serpentine
2 Advanced
6 Heavy
2 Repair Skimmers
1 Lord

So 5 sprues would get you 2 Warrior units (assuming 5 to a base), 1 unit of flayed ones, 1 unit of Destroyers (assuming 3 to base) 1 unit of Wraiths with 6 stands, 2 stands of Phariahs, 6 stands of Immortals, and 10 Tomb Spyders. It's just over 2k with the current list.

I've coughed up my pre-order cost.

Now I need to find some 'larger' proxy stuff to go with my skeletons!

I paid my $$$ for 5 Sprues ... So ... we'll see ...  But I'll be happy to get anything close to the sprue.   Now with the old Chaos Androids, these and the possible Greens, E&C showed us + the DRM Androids ... We may in the long run be up to our butts in toasters !!

Well, I ante'd up the deposit because I'd like to see this project come to fruition.  To be blunt though, there's very little useable stuff on the sprue as currently rendered.  All the skimmers are worthless as proxies (you could use DRM Hubries if these are close enough ) and the oversized robots wont be much use in their intended role either.  I guess they might make ok Imperial robots for the few poor souls that don't have too many of them already.  

I'll decide if I cough the rest once I see the end product.

The skimmers are the "bottoms" of Necron Destroyers... you just cut an Android off at the waist and stick him on... I think it's brilliant how they've done that!

Cough... metal angry robot bugs... cough...

Well as I said, I'll add them to my 6mm Android collection, now only G/W C/Androids & the DRM Android Force + O-Angry Robot Bugs ( ). The WF sizes are a little off ... but since they are Androids, I think I don't mind them being a little big.    I guess I don't understand why they didn't take our recommendations ?   But again, like I said, I'll take what I can get.  For Necron purists ... Don't forget the post E&C did a few days ago.  But we may have to wait awhile for that to come to be ...
