Nice work Sir Bob! Can you tell me your basing recipe? I'm really impressed with it.

Basing recipe is real easy.

1) Glue models to base
2) Get very fine beach/sandbox sand. It comes in like 50lb bags, so I have enough for eternity.
3) Using the same cyanoacrylate glue I used for the models, I put down a fine layer onto the base. I spread it thin with a sharpened piece of sprue or paperclip wire, making sure to get as close to the models as possible. I use this rather than PVA because I find PVA makes things too smooth of a finish. Also, I never have basing peel off with cyano.
4) Dip the model into the sand and then shake off the excess.
5) After dry, use a x-acto knife to remove any sand that got on the models.
6) Prime
7) Paint

Sigh, I am an idiot.

I user Reaper Pro Paint Volcano Brown as the base. Drybrush with RPP Shield Brown. Then a light, sporadic drybrush of Vallejo Bone White.

Very simple and fast with good results.

How do you find the Reaper paints compared to Vallejo (my personal preference) or Citadel (my long-time friend)?

I actually like them quite a lot. I use the Pro Paints and Masters Series. Both are pretty good and have some nice colors. I use Vallejo primarily, but the Reaper has some good colors and good coverage.

Very inspiring Silentbob, using the plasma cannons from the land speeders in tactical squads is genius  :agree:

So the reason for my current and future painting procrastination arrived at 10:46am EST today. Griffin Robert Didur arrived weighing in at 9lbs 6oz and 22inches long. Mommy and baby are fine (if not very sore...)
