Rug's raised the possibility that Krieg Death Riders are underpowered as they don't have two attacks... I'd like to guage opinions on this.

Armour 5+ seems reasonable; aren't they supposed to have cybernetically enhanced horse-beasts?

Six scout, infiltrator units with two attacks at CC4+, with one being first strike for the price of 150 points has always been over the top...

Rough Riders are still great at a single, first strike attack... give them the 5+ armour if really needed, but they shouldn't be better than Assault Marines on the attack.

Maybe Death Korps have Heavy Cavalry instead of Rough Riders.  I've always imagined the Death Korps cavalry as a lot heavier than normal guard cavalry so a better save would be good.  Though I like rugs idea of having a seperate cavlry choice as they dont really fit the rough rider stereotype

To engage heavy armored and armed troops with horses IS suicidal. They make good scouts, are cheap and can initiate an assault with heavy support fire.

give ém 5+ save because of their enhanced horses and they should be OK.

I find them invaluable for mopping up broken formations or planting crossfires for my tanks. I find that appropriate for cavalry, riding down the fleeing enemy and harassment rather than full frontal assault.
