i know its been stated several times in this thread but, if FW didn't want them couldn't they still be produced and "given away" as gifts?
is there still being work done on these?

That is if FW will ever make new models for Epic

IIRC they didn made new models for Wh40k either because GW wants to redo the Codex first.

hey I was just thinking:

a while ago some company (don't know who/which/where/what) was having some kind of pre-order-registration for a Necron infantry sprue.

could it be that they're going to produce the minis we see here (if they get enough pre-orders)?

if so, then please let everyone know, because that would definitely increase pre-orders ten-fold!

My violent impulses are increasing ten-fold.

A) These are necrons.  They're very obviously necrons.  If some other company decided to produce them, out of the blue, GW would violate them and burn the corpse.

B) The company is Wargames Factory.  They're making (or, might make) generic skeletal robots that look fairly different to necrons.  From 3D computer renders, not greenstuff sculpts.

I've been thinking pessimistically that it was unlikely FW would ever make any more epic models, was I wrong or should I hope then?

Those making Necron-like models was a different company, but perhaps FW have noticed or been informed how popular demand was for them and decided they'd do the real deal?

FW have been informed about these models, and gave a 'maybe' in reply. That's all for now.

Didn't Forgeworld just assume control over some other obscure GW game? Maybe they're positioning themselves to be be the 'owners' of the old SG games.

In my opinion, that would be both a blessing (model support) and a curse (poorly executed rules with no open-source oversight).

Obviously, the best of both worlds would be for them to just produce the models, and then have someone (like JJ) to evaluate the Net-EA suggested changes, without adding 'cool stuff' like was done with the tau list.

But I digress. Those necrons look great, and way better (more like necrons) than those other company's stuff.
