Sure, but it is a little borderine for a unit that can't be targetted from more than 25cm to have a really powerful gun that shoots more than 25cm.  Essentially the opponent will need to CC them and obviously this isn't some armies strong points.  

I also left PD 1 off the stats.  I don't think the above rules out the unit, just needs to be factored into costs.  We could also make them Iyanden only?  Four for 200?

Given their extra height, I plan to use the Banshee Dreadnoughts as Exo Suits in my Exodite army.

Sounds fine Zap. The cost and stats need to be right for people to use these things. If you're looking for an alternative for the Plasma Cannon on Eldar Dreadnoughts then I have been using these stats. Ok, it reduces range but like the Multi Melta it increases the number of hits... I think 50cm is a wee tad too much for a smaller unit while 25cm is too little.

Starcannon 35cm x1 4+ -3 Fires every turn

35cm might be a nice compromise....but perhaps we make it a really Uber short range weapon.  I know current GW fluff seems to have removed plasma weapons from Eldar (when once they were so common), so I guess options are a mega version of the Dragons weapon, or a mini D-Cannon ( I did toy with Doomweaver and Heat Lance...but discounted them as improbable).  So

Thermal Cannon - 35cm  1  3+ -3 :Ignores cover

Or,

D-Gun - 35cm Template 5+ None :When firing the D-Gun, place a single 6cm template within 35cm and in LoS.  The template scatters 1D6cm.  Any unshielded target under the template is hit on a 5+.  Units hit are automatically destroyed with no save.  For units with a template, determine location normally and damage is automatic (no armour save) with Penetrating +1.  Shielded units (Void, Power, Deflector, Warp Displacement) are unaffected by the D-Gun.  The D-Gun may damage buildings with a -2 TSM.

I thought that they had just re-named all Plasma Guns as Star Cannon?..

This is what I use...

Disruption Cannon, 50cm, x1, 4+, -0TSM (No save, Scatters, Ethereal)

Roll to hit as normal. Roll scatter dice + 2d6cm. If Hit result, it is destroyed with no armour save. If scatter, move the model and it may not act this turn. The attack is Ethereal due to Warp effects so it is deadly to Daemons... only IF a HIT is caused. Size matters and only units of vehicle class and below can be scattered. Shields of any type protect against the D-Cannons effects.
