I have two 5.1 lists I'd like to run some test with. Anyone up for a game on vassal? Currently no models for tau so they are proxied but its not too difficult to work with.

I'll play against any other core army (marines, orks and guard have models in vassal. The rest can be proxied too).

If you've not used vassal a game will take @6-7 hours to play to a finish, but can be stopped and restarted as often as real life requires!

Does Vassal work on a Mac?

I've got a bit of time coming up (spring break) and might be able to get something working...

Its java so it should...

I'm in the UK and can normally play 19:00 - 23:00 GMT. Just not every night!

[edit]
Just checked and there are Windows, Mac and linux flavours available here

Let's see: I'm in Mountain Daylight, so that's GMT-6... cool, that's right in the middle of the day for me.

Hrm... got the files downloaded, just can't seem to get the Epic module to load, some invalid module error... Oh, well... I've got some time to work on this.

Not had that problem. What error (if any) are you getting. What platform are you using (windows/linux?)

Dezartfox seems to be the man behind the curtain and a nice enough fella.

I am currently working on graphics for the Necrons and Dark Eldar for Epic Vassal.  Dezartfox seemed open to the idea of including them.  I won't be doing the Tau but I bet some of you talented folk could pick up the torch.  The more work we do, the less work he has to do, ergo we might have actual Tau units in Vassal a lot sooner.

I asked him what program he does them up in.  When I get the info I'll post it here.  It ain't easy to be sure, but...

What one man can do another can do.

You can't just "shrink and base" the pictures they have for units from th 40k module?
