Definitely usable!

Good stuff! :)

There were a few issues with the [b[Hellhound[/b] pic, so I've done some more work tonight and this is now THE FINAL image!!

And there was me hoping to get started on a Ragnorak pic!  :oh:

Ok, the start of another pic...

Kreig infantry check out an abandoned Ragnorak.

Just been getting the values down and the general jist of the pic. How's the perspective looking?

Oh, btw E&C, did you check out the name on the side of the Hellhound???  8v)

I did, it's really quite astonishing to me to see names for imaginary places I've written down suddenly spring to life through your art!

Cheers L4 - The late WWI feel is what I'm aiming for. :)

Here's my current WIP on this image - 1hr 45mins so far. I've been doing a lot of rendering and cleaning up.

Here's a close up of the Ragnorak showing how I've started to block in the details.

Hey E&C,

I've been having a search through DeviantArt for appropriate artwork for this book as I know there could be more White Scars and Mossino pics - even if for the use of watermarked backgrounds like I mentioned in the other thread.

White Scar

White Scars Librarian

White Scar

White Scar

Mossino Commander?

Mossino Infantry

Some of those Deviant Art pics are good; How do I go about contacting a DA artist?

From experience:

Set up an account, send them a private Note mentioning the artwork by name, compliment their work, and then ask them for permission.  Make sure you mention that they WON'T be compensated but they WILL be credited.  A good question (if you are not sure) to ask is if the art is theirs or something they pulled from someplace else.  There was a bunch of artwork for the Minervans I tossed at the last moment because they were GW pics that were only slightly modified.

Since Raiders, I have been using that as a basis from which to start dialogue since it clearly shows other Deviant Art members helping and being credited.  Feel free to link to http://www.epic40k.co.uk/rules/epic/raiders.html and explain that you were one of the people who worked on it and now you are finishing up a new book and you need their help.  I have had exactly three people turn me down. That's it.

Oh, you may want to ask how they wish to be credited (name or pseudonym).
