Will the Deathbot be more organic (aka more rounded) like the pencil drawing by the time you're done with it?

As to the hovertanks, I like the catamaran hulls. I'm not sure how much room is going to be on the 4x6 sprue though for them. If it comes down to getting all the infantry on there or the tanks, I'd personally prefer the infantry on this one and having the tanks on a separate sprue.

The Deathbot will get more rounding, as this is the bulk-out, or rough draft.  Also, since the molds will probably be milled with a ball-end mill, many of the angular corners will be "polished" out by the cutting head.

Best,
JBR

I haven't heard anything so I'm guessing John is still sculpting.

Hmmm... I like the arms with blades and the less human torso but I'm not so fond of the pose or the uniform thickness of the spine. It seems too fragile and too long. I think it would look better if the spine tapered from a thicker waist to a thinner point and maybe a shorter spine.

The deathbot looks pretty cool.

JBR also posted a render of the light deathbot w/blades this morning - see previous link.

Maintenance Deathbot is nearly done.

First pic is 6mm approximation.
The rest are close-in shots.
The buzzsaw teeth and other, tiny details may not survive being shrunk down, but you get the idea.

That's great!  So much better than I had tried to envision.

Heh! When I opened up one of the pictures I instinctively tried to manipulate it (zoom, rotate, etc.)

And that's some mighty fine work you're doing.

If they keep coming at this quality I'm definitely doubling my order.
