But they do have pretty damn good Customer Service.
Last Time i was out of town I hit a few Stores and found a bunch of epic stuff being cleared out. I bought it, and just stuffed it in my big box of Epic till a few weeks ago. I started cracking blisters and building stuff and found a Few pieces were missing and bent to all hell....one email to GW Canada later and apparently the replacement stuff is in the mail....course now I have incomplete models.....or as i call them, Blown up Objective models  :p

This is true; as bad as their sales practices are, once the deal is done the customer support for mispacking, etc... is usually good.  However, more effort in quality control upfront would negate the need for that service after the sales.

Yes, I'll admit that with the advent of E:A, when I was buying the new modes from G/W US ... if a part was missing ... they'd send me a whole other model !   So I always had a lot of stuff to be converted or traded or sold !   :alien:   8v)

Agreed. I bought an Eldar Warhost from their homepage recently. One Howling Banshee was miscast (her upper half was missing). That is one model, not one stand mind you. I went down to my local store and showed them the box and the sprue. After having made the obvious joke that it portrayed what would happen if one was shot with a melta/plasma/whatever-gun they kindly ordered me an entire new box free of charge.

Edit: And let me keep the old box of course.

I have to admit lack of quality control has been a blessing to me when combined with the good after sale service.

Being sent items with misscast or missing bits or wrong items has ended up working in my favour.

I got one BFG order where I was sent several of the wrong larged boxed sets ships meaning I have a rediculous amount of big ork ships.

I bought a shrink wrapped Reaver titan from eBay. When it arrived it was missing a missile launcher. Quick call to GW and they said that although they could not replace 1 single bit they would send me a new reaver.

I then contacted the seller and notified him of the problem. He did the same and got it sent to me when it arrived to him.

Result: Daemonkin 3 GW 1 (the original reaver).

Yes I do have a brass neck btw.

It is nice to Know they will help you out like that...but i agree....a little quality control wouldn't be a bad thing. I just hope that not alot of people take advantage of it...cause GW might rethink it, and stop doing it....Ala bits.....i miss bits orders

FRoA #284 Deep down everyone's a Ferengi. :alien:  A similar situation happened with me a few times ... so I never say No to extra parts ! :alien:  IIRC, at the time of E:A's release, all the Epic stuff came pre-packed from G/W UK to G/W US, so they couldn't send a replacement part ... Don't know how it's been done over the past few years ...
