The local shop owner up here says they like to sell their stuff to stores that promote their products. Also, considering the closest GW stores are in NYC or north shore MA it would probably be too much to ship them.

With Manchester closed now Danvers, MA is the only GW store in New England.

More tables  - excellent! I'm surprised Time Machine was able to get them from GW, not that I'm complaining.

Liquidation is liquidation, I'd guess.

True, but what surprises me is that the manager of the GW store that just closed is opening his own gaming store. I would have thought he had first dibs on the tables.

Maybe he did have first dibs and there isn't enough room for all of them?  Just a guess.

Dave, how is the body count on your tourney so far?  I haven't posted anything official yet for Games Day but my hope is to have 12-16 people.  I realistically don't see more than that showing up.  Interest gets trumped by schedules and money every time.  :glare:

Good guess, but I doubt that's it, because he built at least six tables.

Schedule and money might prevent me from going.

To which one?  Or do you mean both?

If need be, you can bundle into the room with Steve and I down in Baltimore.  We can split up the costs better.  Sleeping arrangements are flexible (as long as you don't feel a need to spoon anyone).

Schedule and money might prevent me from attending Games Day. However, I talked with my nephew and he's probably going. He might want to be there Friday morning to help set up. Apparently if you help set up, you get free admission and a snazzy official Games Day t-shirt. So, if I go I'll go with him.

As for the schedule of it, there's an outside chance I'll be flying down to Texas for Memorial day weekend, which is the following weekend. I'm not sure I can afford to make two trips in consecutive weeks.

Well, it's looking much better than it was last year. But as you say, schedule changes and money will play a big part as the day(s) approaches.

Steve's been a scatterbrain these days.  I'll see if I can get him to actually pick up his phone.

Yeah, looking good numbers-wise. The old GW tables might actually be needed.

Question to everyone: who is interested in doing something on Sunday?

I got an email from another guy looking to play, Jay from Exploding Goat Games. Tim and I met him once while gaming at the TM. Apparently he's been painting up a an IG army and playing with Gary.

So now we're at 13, still haven't heard from Eric, Steve, Cary, Tristan or the other Jason yet.

Mosc. have you heard anything from Steve?

It took extensive prodding to get Steve to show for Games Day.  I am unsure if he will make it to NEAT, but I do need to talk with him this week on logistics for May so I will ask him again.

Can't make it, sadly: conflict with a professional conference in DC.
