That looks fantastic Warmaster.

Pick away. Just make sure you leave enough brain so I keep basic motor functions :p

Thanks. I added some varnish for puddles of sludge, highlighted some areas a bit for a dustier look. Just need to add a few colorful details and maybe some rusty old signs (after doing the bridge ramp pieces I've really taken a liking to the addition of old signs - both as a way of adding a spot of color and personality to an otherwise grey and anonymous pile of rubble.)

And one more superb source of inspiration. I recognise the raffinery set (got it to....happy to see it can be a great piece for Epic Terrain). How have you made the "stairs" on the side of the big reservoirs ?

Hope to see more very soon  :wow:

VERY cool WMN!

These model kits/terrain pieces are perfect and painted brilliantly.
It's amazing what you can do with cable ties...  :agree:

I thank you Warmaster Nice.
You are a reason to not start painting Epic.

I would feel inadequate (sp?).

The stairs on the large tanks are actually part of the model. I may be insane, but I'n not that insane that I'll start scratch building 6mm railing on a terrain piece :p
The stairs looked sufficiently like cable ties that I could get away with using some of those for stairs on other parts of the piece.

Today I painted up another terrain piece. Nothing speical here. Just simple plastic ruins and a few bits and bobs stuck in.

Thanks WMN for the answer. Do you remember who produce the tanks models (the ones with the imperial eagle on the side on your first picture)? They look amazing and even the stairs fit the 6 mm scale. Can't remenber having seen this models in any catalog.

The city is very nice (or nicely destroyed  :glare:  ). It motivates me a lot to start my city boards.

I got the model used from Ebay, so I'm not completely sure of the origin. Could be an old Heller model, but I can't quite remember. I looked through quite a few model kits before deciding on this one. I'm not really sure if it is OOP or still available as new. The original model was grey plastic with green plastic details (railing, pipes etc.)

Looking at the latest ruin model I can't help but feel that something is missing. Once I get in the mood I might have a go and add brass details like Carl did with his terrain. It looked very nice, so it might be worth the extra effort.

Sigh, wonderful ruins Mr WarMaster, Sir
As you've said before, it's often the small details, signs etc, that make the model visually (can also break the model play wise!)
I wish I had the space to do boards like that, as it is I'm struggling to find room for a couple of individual buildings.
