I was wondering, is there a gallery of scale photos for reference anywhere?

One of my favorite 28mm gaming references is:
http://www.weetoysoldiers.com/wp/?page_id=167

We should have something similar here.  All I currently own are some Mechwarrior figures, but I would happily shoot them to help someone else.

We could use this guide to make sure we are on the same page, perhaps even formatting our stuff the same way to make comparisons easier.  The only alteration I see as being needed is to prop the figures to the required height so their feet at at the beginning of the ruler.

My proposed method would be to make a new post in response the Scale thread, load your photo into Photobucket or some such (perhaps we could open a community account), and then note each models Name, Manufacturer, Item Number (Helpful, but not required) and a Website.

So what do you think, would you find something like this to be very helpful?

Scale photos like that are nice, but, my proposal is more for an exact size, so that I can say, hey, those are just the right height for my (whatever).  I am going to do a few in a couple minutes, I need to build a booth first.

Understand ...   My method is when ever I get a new model ... I post a pic of it next to known models ... like a G/W Rhino, Commissar, etc., as most of the Boyz here have those models and can see the sizes ... side-by-side ...    8v)

I'll make it a point to try to add a ruler to my future pics ... it's a good idea !  :agree:

Didn't someone around here do some comparison pics of 6mm infantry (Epic, GZG, DRM, etc.)?  I'd love to see more like that.

I have seen a few, I was just thinking it would be really easy to add a ruler style backing to make it very easy to see the exact sizes of figures, this should make it easier for people to build the exact armies they want, in addition adding less commonly used things to the mix should help.  For example some of the Monsterpocalypse figures would fit in great, but many would be horribly out of scale.

Yeah, yeah ... so again ...   :))                                                       L to R - the first 3 are E/W, then G/W Squats, IG, CSM, SM, Commissar, GZG Kra'vak Alien, Scotia Alien ... the last 2 are DRM ...  8v)

Those aren't the big ones o-man. Those top out at around 3 inches.

Yeah those are just the cheap grunts, let me grab a couple of the biggies for you in a bit.  I figured they may function as tanks for organic armies.

Oy, I totally forgot to label my pictures, give me a few minutes to do that as well.

Biggies as promised:

MonPoc - Defender X

MonPoc - Gorghadra

I wasn't knocking them, just pleasantly surprised at the feasability of using some of them at 6mm scale.

Looks like good paint jobs on those bigger guys, too.
