Wow.  That is a wasting asset indeed.  Lovely stuff.  But it will do well in a new home, and the Epic: Raiders corp is a neat project -- more of a labor of love than the Tau.

I would even say that if Moscovian puts them up with a respectable Buy Now we can help the effort by grabbing them that way.
The Raider Inc is a great way to get (non-profit) publications out.

Seconded. Epic fans on Ebay are vicious. I hate bidding on something for four days and loosing it when 10 vulture-like bidders swoop in at the last few moments and take it away. I don't think I've won a bid yet.  

Christmas is a bad time for me to justify buying new books or models, but I promise that after the holidays I'll definitely pick up a copy of Raiders like I have always intended on doing.

Good luck on your sale Moscovian. I hope after your finances are sorted you'll be able to replace your army one day.

Sniping on ebay is a way of life.

honestly its a waste of time to drop bids anytime before 40 seconds of its ending.

I may drop bids on cheap items just because and to get the first bid, but you should treat it like your wargames haha. When you bid you let someone else know that there are other interested parties and it gets them on their toes for the final showdown....best to jsut be one of the vultures or you wont win anything for a decent price.

I actually sell alot of stuff on ebay and hate it when my items get swooped for a low cost, but thats the nature of the beast.

If you are going to bid before the last few minutes, you must bid up to your maximum and be happy with the outcome (and you must have a maximum or your wallet will regret it).

If someone wants it more and they have more money to spend, there's no point in be annoyed about it. If you bid your maximum you did eveything you could.

Oh stop, now you are asking people to use logic rather then emotions.  

But to be serious for a moment, I agree 100% with you. I have bid, and won, many auctions doing it this way. I bid a real maximum and then acepted someone wanted it more if I lost. I never look at it as "oh I would have paid that". Because if I would have, I should have bid that amount.

It's about buying goods at a price you can afford.
