How would I go about painting Thunderbolts to go with an Admech PDF force? Would they be drafted from the Navy and thus regular imperial navy type of camoflague, or would they have their own navy wings on their homeworld, thus red/black/brass like the rest of the army?

I was talkimg to some friends about the seperation of the navy assets from the other forces after the heresy; Maybe I will do them in plasma red wasteland camo ala a forgewirld, and with Imperial markings. Will still fit the look of the army then?

I think of the Ad Mech as an allied empire to the Imperium, rather than a controlled part of it... so they may well maintain their own air squadrons from time to time.

Either way, it's likely that an aircraft's camoflage will match the local terrain, or honour its habitual allies...

...so basically, the choice is yours.

The admech - in BFG at least - have their own naval assets. So I would paint them in admech colours. Now of course would the admech camo stuff or not? I reckon small stuff would be in 'high tech' camo. Something like dazzle or similar crazy look that destroys outlines. Or maybe stuff that makes them blend in with an urban factory backdrop.
The god machines however I'm sure would be painted to be noticable to their own side for the moral boost they would give (did I ever tell everyone about the ad mech list where WE gave inspiring to attached infatry and vehicles?).

The AM basically has all types of forces, including spacecraft, so use your general AM colour scheme.
