I am liking the colour scheme on that GC! An entire fleet of them would look ace!
Personally, I name my battleships after cities, much like the Royal Navy, e.g., my Retribution is called Sheffield!
Cheers
Chris

I always use very simple painting methods. The cruisers were simply undercoated with Chaos Black and then repeatedly drybrushed with Beaten Copper. Drybrushing in this way takes the glossy shine out of the metalic paint and picks out all the detail with no real effort. Beaten Copper also has a nice redish color and suits the Chaos ships well. I use the Black undercoat/metalic drybrush method in a lot of my models. My Epic Ork models are mostly painted in this way. I would advize anyone who is painting a sizable area in metalic to applie the paint in this way unless they want a realy shiny smooth surface.

Nice job, they look cool!
I like to use the drybrush method (the ships dont get so "shinny") and after that I pick up some of the details like small lights or other stuff with little "dots" of colour.
Cheers Axt

I got another one: Pray for Death
It came to me as I drove through peak hour traffic on the way to work!

Soul Crusher, Scream of Eternity, Unbounded Violence (even if that is more khorneish) and Desperation of the Weak work well as names you think about in a crowded highway as well
Cheers,
Xavi

Time Consumer or Consumer of Life work as well. Let's see, some more:
- Fist of Gehenna - Lust of Oblivion - Order Tearer - Ruler of Death - Glory of Decadence - Pain Enjoyer - Putrid Excelsior - Decadence of the Leviathan (Hobbes reference, but I suppose some of you will get it ) - antisocial contract - Entropy unleashed - Nihilist - Democratic rule (as opposed to a totalitarist empire, LOL) - Wisdom of the Mad
I am ranting now, so O'd better stop. After the politica theory references I think I noticed I am worse than I thought at first. LOL
Cheers,
Xavi

BTW:
@kr00za: I think I will be using your painting technique (black undercoat, copper drybrush) on a chaos cruiser in brief to see how it looks. Might try the same with other metallics on the prow of some imp ships as wel to see how they come up when I buy them in the end Needs to keep working on the fleet list first, though. Looks like people has loads of different suggestions about how that list should be created, heh.
Regards,
Xavi

Mmm.. interesting- I really like the look of the prow and the superstrucure, but personally I'd do without the cruiser bow on the topside, or maybe just trim it down a little...

It looks huge! The prow gives the ship a fearsome "predator" look! Nice work!
