Anyone played this Cthulu based board game?  I played my first game of it today.  It is pretty good game but it has more cards and decks than a room full of magic players!  Three of us played today racing against the clock to defend against the ancient one, Azathoth!  We played cooperatively and pulled out a victory as my character closed a portal and placed the sixth ancient seal on the board.  I had the Private Eye armed with a .45 pistol :)  His evade skill is what really did it for me though, as I snuck past two nastys to get to the final portal.

I have this game and all the expansions

It is important to note that an 8x4 table is easily taken up by this game once you take all the cards out and play a full game.

I like it, as do some others, yet there are an equal amount of people that don't. Each to their own really. I am a Cthulhu fan myself, so the background, and awesome quality of the game pieces won it for me hands down.

Huge fan of Cthulhu/Lovecraft here too. I liked the game. Didn't find it overly competative though.

Yes, we follow the path of least resistance and laziness!

Gumshoes unite!

Send me a PM with your information, we always have to outsource work to other areas.  I like the corp and maritime stuff, everything is big bucks there for the most part.  When they are dealing with tens of millions of dollars, nobody cares what your bill is.

I think this one takes the cake:  We were paid to watch a half-million tons of steel pipe (drilling pipes) round the clock for four days to make sure it did not leave the port until a contract dispute was settled.  I have amazing powers of observation, LOL.

LMK if you ever relocate to Houston!

i recently had my first game of this and found it to be very enjoyable, i find being blessed makes all the diffrence to winning and losing alot personally, as a over game its fun tidy and well presented, not sure why they even bother having the boss fight at the end as its 99% impossable to beat them so it just seems a moot point, after a few games i found it less and less challenging and the winning conditions pretty much became a formality and it was a game jsut to see how the story unfolded rather than a game to see if you would win or be consumed by the dark gods.
all in all though not a bad game.
