I've placed 3 orders with FW over the last 2 years (I live in Australia) and I've always been charged the full VAT (or whatever they justify it as to overseas customers).

I've also bought from GW UK and they did deduct the full VAT charge.

It really doesn't make sense that GW UK don't charge overseas customers VAT, but FW do.

In other dealings with UK based companies, I was informed that a business that had a turnover of less than 60,000GBP's per annum didn't have to deduct the VAT from overseas orders (or something like that). I really don't think FW can use that excuss.

I just wish FW would follow the same rules that GW UK follow...

Anyway, any saving is a good saving.

FW deducted VAT from my order to New Zealand earlier this year. Maybe I just got lucky...

Of course it did take ages for them to actually complete the order.

Yeah... I'm still waiting for a few bits and pieces from an order that was placed 4 months ago (they seem to be sending it to me one blister at a time).

Good onya for getting a VAT deduction. Any secrets/suggestions for your cousins across the Tasman? Getting such a deduction would litterally have saved me a few hundred aussie dollars...!

Ouch, yeah sorry Onyx, I've no idea why they gave it to me!? I didn't ask or know anything about it - was just pleasantly surprised when I saw the price on the statement.

Hopefully the rest of your stuff arrives soon as some small consolation.
