They are the original Hive Tyrant and in NetEpic we use it as some sort of Norn Queen type thing that slaps all the Tyrants around. They are bigger than the later E40K version and the story is the same for the Carnifex if you ever come across them too.

oh yeah...that's a bit odd! Cheers warhead; i think this may be the case with some nids i'm recieving shortly; though it means my carnifexes are going to be bigger than my hive tyrants; most odd!

Yep, this Guy I'm using for a Barbed Hierodule, I added a little greenstuff !  He was the SM2/TL Carnifex. He was about the size of a Knight and was sort of the 'Nid equivalent ... And this Badd Boy was the SM2 Hive Tyrant ... again about the size of a SM2/TL Knight ... They are part of my HIVE ...
